My name is Steve Bunting and I am a professional freelance FOH / Monitors live sound engineer, systems technician and audio consultant specialising in live music mixing. I am based in Wimbledon in London, England but travel worldwide.
I offer a professional approach to all live sound applications, with considerable experience drawn from a diverse range of events including bands, clubs, tours, functions, conferences, theatre, orchestral, comedy, seminars and festivals in a variety of venues. I have hands-on experience of an extensive range of professional audio equipment and a thorough grounding in audio engineering theory but come from a musical background so smoothly combine the technical and creative aspects of audio production. My extensive contacts in the industry permit me to select the highest quality and best-suited crew and suppliers for a particular event. Above all, I take great pride in my work and have a great deal of enthusiasm for my job.
I hope that this website will give you an idea of my experience and capabilities. Please feel free to learn more about what I can do for you by taking a look around.
Thanks for taking the time to visit, and please feel free to contact me.

Again, I have had a varied September, with jobs ranging from FOH line array tech on Stage 3 at Shakedown festival in Brighton, the Wilde Summer Ball (a charity ball in aid of the Wilde Breast Cancer Fund) and monitors for DJ Yoda and the Transiberian March Orchestra at Bestival. I also mixed FOH and monitors for an 11-year old choir boy called Jack Topping who performed at a showcase for Universal Music and an appearance on the Alan Titchmarsh show.
Live By The Lake
Sunday 8th September 2013
The last 2 weeks have seen me looking after monitors and stage for the 'Live By The Lake' series of concerts at Kenwood House in Hampstead, North London. The concerts included a wide range of concerts from rock bands Keane and Suede to the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. An optocore network was used for the DiGiCo SD7 at FOH and 2 SD racks on stage, whilst sending MADI stems direct from the FOH console to an SD8 at monitors. Read more at http://tinyurl.com/oerrnbq.
Rewind All-Star Band
Tuesday 30th July 2013
I mixed monitors for the house band at the Rewind festival in Perth over the weekend, including guest artists Tony Hadley, Belinda Carlisle, Nik Kershaw, Heather Small, Rick Astley, Jason Donovan and Kim Wilde. I will be working with them over the next 3 weeks with other artists including Marc Almond, Heaven 17, Odyssey, Chesney Hawkes, Go West and ABC.
Capital Sound provided a flip-flop house system with 2 x Yamaha PM5Ds at monitors, Sennheiser 2000 IEMs, LE1500 wedges, 2 x DiGiCo SD8s at FOH and a Meyer Milo/Mica system.
