My name is Steve Bunting and I am a professional freelance FOH / Monitors live sound engineer, systems technician and audio consultant specialising in live music mixing. I am based in Stockholm, Sweden but maintain close ties to the UK and travel worldwide.
I offer a professional approach to all live sound applications, with considerable experience drawn from a diverse range of events including bands, clubs, tours, functions, conferences, theatre, orchestral, comedy, seminars and festivals in a variety of venues. I have hands-on experience of an extensive range of professional audio equipment and a thorough grounding in audio engineering theory but come from a musical background so smoothly combine the technical and creative aspects of audio production. My extensive contacts in the industry permit me to select the highest quality and best-suited crew and suppliers for a particular event. I have just finished a six-week residency at the Rival Teater in Stockholm, interspersed with a couple of shows in Gothenburg with Swedish comedians Özz Nûjen and Måns Möller and their sold out, award-winning show 'Sveriges Historia - den nakna sanningen'. I mixed FOH on an Allen & Heath iLive-T80 with the installed L'Acoustics ARC system. The show will resume in January 2016 when it goes on tour around Sweden.
Little Mix / All Saints
Wednesday 14th October 2015
Last week, I was hired to mix in-ear monitors for 2 different four-piece all girl bands. The first was an appearance of All Saints at a corporate event that took place at The Roundhouse in Camden, London. The second was for Little Mix who were guest artists on Idol, the Swedish version of Pop Idol recorded in Stockholm. They performed their new song 'Black Magic' which was broadcast live to air on Friday night.

I looked after stage sound for the Rewind Festival's house band in Scotland and Cheshire again this year. Among the artists I mixed monitors for were Jimmy Somerville, Belinda Carlisle, Heather Small, The Selecter, Nik Kershaw, Kim Wilde, ABC, Bananarama, Chesney Hawkes, Hue & Cry and many many more. I used a Yamaha PM5D-RH, with a combination of Sennheiser 2000 series IEM and Martin Audio LE1500 wedges. The Rewind All-Star band is a busy and complex show which utilizes all 48 inputs (plus 2 stereo inputs) and all 24 mixes.
